Approach

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who believes therapy should be a collaborative and supportive process. I strive to create a warm, welcoming space where you can feel comfortable sharing your experiences and exploring the challenges that brought you to therapy.

During our first session, I will take time to understand your current strengths, challenges, and goals through natural, supportive conversation. Together, we will identify initial goals and create a plan for moving forward that feels practical and meaningful to you.

My approach is strengths-based, compassionate, and focused on practical, evidence-based solutions. I help clients develop greater self-awareness, learn emotional regulation skills, and identify resources and strategies that can help them navigate challenges both within themselves and in their everyday lives.

I have a particular interest in supporting individuals through pregnancy and postpartum experiences, grief, anxiety, trauma, and other significant life transitions. I understand that these experiences can bring a mixture of emotions and challenges, and I want to provide a space where you can feel heard, supported, and empowered as you move through them.

I believe you bring important strengths and knowledge about your own life into therapy. My role is to walk alongside you, help you recognize those strengths, and work together to find approaches that support your goals and overall well-being.

Experience

I have more than 18 years of experience walking alongside individuals and families during times of challenge, transition, and change. My professional background includes working in schools, hospitals, immigration support organizations, and community-based programs. These experiences have helped me develop a broad understanding of the different circumstances that can influence a person’s emotional health and well-being.

I earned my Master of Science in Social Work from the University of Texas at Austin and have developed specialized knowledge in anxiety, grief and loss, maternal mental health, trauma, stress management, panic disorders, relationship concerns, PTSD, infertility, and women’s mental health.

I have specialized training in pregnancy and postpartum mental health conditions and enjoy supporting new parents as they adjust to this exciting and sometimes challenging stage of life. I also have training in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and Trauma and Grief Component Therapy for Adolescents, allowing me to support adolescents and individuals who are coping with traumatic experiences or significant loss.

I draw from evidence-based approaches including Trauma-Focused CBT, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Strength-Based Therapy, and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT). I tailor these approaches to each client’s individual needs, strengths, circumstances, and goals.

I believe therapy does not have to be complicated to be meaningful. My goal is to provide practical tools, thoughtful support, and a safe space where clients can better understand themselves, develop new skills, and move toward the life they want to create. I am honored to walk alongside my clients as they navigate challenges, find their strengths, and work toward meaningful change.
