Approach

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor who believes therapy should be a space where you can exhale, feel heard, and begin doing the deeper work of healing. I strive to create a warm, compassionate, honest, and nonjudgmental environment where you feel supported and empowered to explore what brought you to therapy and where you want to go from here. My approach is collaborative and grounded in helping you move from survival mode toward greater clarity, confidence, and emotional wellness. I believe therapy should be both supportive and transformative—a place where you can process difficult experiences while also developing practical tools, stronger insight, and a healthier relationship with yourself. I work with adolescents and adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, relationship challenges, life transitions, and other emotional concerns. I recognize that everyone brings unique experiences, values, relationships, and circumstances into therapy, and I tailor my approach to meet you where you are. I draw from a wide range of evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Trauma-Focused CBT, Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Narrative Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, Strength-Based Therapy, Positive Psychology, Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), and other individual and family-focused approaches.

Experience

I have 6 years of experience in the mental health field, supporting adolescents and adults through a variety of emotional, relational, and life challenges. I earned my Master of Arts degree from The American University and completed additional master’s-level education at Liberty University. My clinical experience has allowed me to work with individuals and families navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, PTSD, ADHD, grief, stress, relationship difficulties, and other mental health concerns. I understand that many people come to therapy carrying invisible weight for far too long. My goal is to provide a space where you do not have to hold everything by yourself. Whether you are working through a difficult season, unresolved pain, or simply want to grow into a healthier version of yourself, I am committed to walking alongside you with compassion, honesty, and respect. I use a variety of therapeutic approaches based on each client’s needs, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Trauma-Focused CBT, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS), Narrative Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, Strength-Based Therapy, and family- and relationship-focused approaches. My goal is to help you gain greater clarity and insight, develop healthy coping strategies, strengthen your relationships, and build a healthier relationship with yourself. You deserve a space to heal, rebuild, and choose yourself.
