Philosophy

My therapy philosophy is rooted in the belief that healing happens when people feel safe, supported, and genuinely understood. I take a collaborative, compassionate approach, meeting clients exactly where they are and honoring their lived experiences. I integrate EMDR, DBT, and mindfulness-based practices to help clients process what’s heavy, build practical skills, and reconnect with their own resilience. My goal is to create a space where growth feels possible, emotions feel manageable, and each person feels empowered to move toward the life they want.

Experience

I’ve spent more than a decade supporting children, teens, adults, and families across educational and clinical settings. My early work as a lead teacher and later as a program director gave me a deep understanding of child development, individualized support, and collaborative family communication. As I transitioned into clinical practice, I gained hands-on experience providing therapy and supporting clients across community agencies and practicum sites. I hold an Associate of Science from Lewis and Clark Community College and both a Bachelor’s in Psychology and a Master’s in Social Work from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, which ground my work in strong clinical training and a commitment to helping clients thrive.
